Definition Cave 1 possible betyls
Overlies Locus 31 bedrock cut floor for Cave 1.
Description This locus consists of two rectangular regularly cut blocks that were found lying on the bedrock floor, inside Cave 1. One of the blocks was slightly wider and taller than the other. They were both found lying directly in the center of the south wall of Cave 1. Thus, they seemed to have been intentionally placed there. Possibly, they both served as a rough form of domestic betyls, although there is no certain way of proving that. They have been dated to this stage since they must have been in their original position on the floor before Cave 1 was destroyed.
