Stage Description | Construction of the East Exedra and the East Triple Colonnade. |
Description | Curb of the hexagonal pavement, run n-s at the edge of the trench, abutting with the west stylobate of the East Colonnade. Very fragmentary and poorly preserved, the curb is preserved to .44 cm wide and is constructed of red and white sandstone blocks. It seems that some of the hexagonal pavers or fragments of pavers have been pushed into or over the curb in some places. Gaps and holes that opened up during excavation suggest that there may be canalization underneath. |
