Description This is an interesting fragment as it is one of the ‘ear’ handles on the side of a rosette radiating from beaded ring lamp: Donald Bailey, British Museum Catalogue, III: Roman Provincia l Lamps, pl. 57, Q 2289, p. 278. His example was of drab brown clay with buff surface; brown slip on upper side, plaster mould. Second half of first century CE.
