Phase Description | Phase III: Minor damage. |
Description | A fine loose Reddish Brown soil (Munsell 5 YR 4/3) which balls. Based on the material remains, primarily the stucco, it is likely that this action was part of a filling and repair prior to the building of the Tetrastyle front. The stucco remains from the fill suggest that this was original distyle decoration (for instance the painted egg and dart cornice). Significantly there are remains in Nazals which are similar in execution. |
