Description | An area of large, fallen rocks, possibly from the walls in this area. The rocks are not worked, but are medium-sized, sandstone pieces that are typical of the walls in this area. This locus is probably originally overlain by Locus 6, fill, but Locus 8 washed away Locus 6 and came down on Locus 9. This rock fall is slightly north of the middle of the west half of the trench and may have been partly disturbed by the laying of the drain pipe (Locus 29). This locus has been phased here for lack of any evidence suggesting other phasing. |
