Description | Locus 3 is a yellow, brown, white, orange, and reddish chalky deteriorating rock soil pack. Some roots were still present in the soil matrix of Locus 3. One large stone slab, approximately fifty centimeters by seventy centimeters was removed from Locus 3. Artifacts were recovered from within the deteriorating rock soil pack, indicating that it was previously disturbed by human interaction, including terra cotta, pottery, and a piece of worked chert. The locus was closed when a depth of ten centimeters was achieved from the last found artifact. The soil pack was extremely loose, and between twenty-five and forty centimeters deep. |
