Description | This locus is 1 m wide-x-1.4 m high. It abuts Wall 12 (Locus 12) along its east side, the Paul Column (Locus 4) and Wall 5 (Locus 5). It overlies the floor pavers (Locus 22) and the decorative border stone used as the bottom step. The top step is part of the platform (Locus 11) and may not be a part of the original stairway construction. Its construction is of white, sandstone ashlars. |
