Description | A doorway set into the Temple East Exterior Wall, exactly opposite the open space between the Loa and Deirdre columns (which serves as the entryway to the East adytus maximus of the Theatron complex in Phase II; see below). It is approx. 2.20 m wide and is preserved to a height of 2.40 m. The soil within the doorway itself is unexcavated and represents a standing balk, where one may observe the stratigraphy of the debris layers which filled this part of the East Corridor. |
