Description | Trench C4 is a 10 by 10 meter excavation unit located on western portion of Kenan Tepe’s main mound. The goal of excavation in this unit, which was undertaken during the summers of 2001 and 2002, was to broaden our exposure to the Early Iron Age at Kenan Tepe. Trench C4 is characterized by poorly preserved Early Iron Age architectural remains and a number of domestic contexts. Like trench C3, these remains are not well sealed and thus the security of these contexts should be considered low. |
