Description Locus 5 is a medium brown and yellow mottled soil. Several small rocks five to ten centimeters in size are located in the trench, but with no packing or regularity. Many large and small roots are still present, and the soil is more yellow around them. Small amounts of terra cotta and pottery were recovered, but no bone was found. The soil pack was denser than the topsoil, but somewhat loose and not claylike. The soil pack was between four and thirteen centimeters deep.
