Description This locus (2.5YR 4/2) measured 1.11 m-x-1.10 m-x-0.37 m. There were traces of this mound in the south and east balks. P. Warnock collected some burnt seed remains for analysis. No archaeological materials were found in this locus. However, the ash mound explains the high presence of bone within the surrounding loci and charcoal bits over the surface of certain loci. The fires resulted possibly from semi-nomadic camps using the walls for wind breaks to cook.
Bottom (m) Bottom elevation: 905.826 m at southwest, 905.756 m at southeast (average).
Definition Ash mound.
