Description | Locus 2 is a medium brown and yellow mottled soil. A few small rocks ten to fifteen centimeters in size are included in the soil matrix. Many stumps and roots are still present, and the soil is more claylike around the stump in the northeastern corner. One fragment of pottery was found, no terra cotta or bone were found. The soil pack was very loose and sandy or chalklike, but relatively shallow--between two and fourteen centimeters deep. |
