Description |
SU 7004 is a topsoil context and was excavated using small picks and trowels. Because of the large cut stone in the Northeast corner of the original trench for SU 7000-7003 we decided to extend the trench 20 cm to the north, the topsoil of which is SU 7004. The topsoil (SU 7004) is the same context as the topsoil of SU 7002. The soil type is loose with stony inclusions including plaster, pottery and stone, ranging from small to medium size pebbles. The SU is located in the western part of the entire trench, which surrounds and contains two large worked masonry stones. See plan. 7004-d1 Top elevation: W: 8.49m C: 8.49m E: 8.49m Bottom elevation: W: 8.44m C: 8.42m E: 8.4m |
