Stage Description
Description North south staircase at the end of the orchestra wall, leading from the east west adytus maximus pavement to the lower diazoma of the Theatron seating. The stones forming the east and west edges of the sandstone staircase are better preserved than in the west Theatron area, but the stair treads themselves are badly weathered and are decaying. There are five treads preserved; each is 0.63 m wide and the staircase as a whole (preserved) is approximately 2.00 m long. The bottom tread rests by itself at the foot of the staircase and abutting the north face of the Theatron; the north face of this tread is roughly semi-circular.
