Description | This fine wall consisting of four courses of closely fitting Nabataean blocks that are diagonally dressed was uncovered in Sondage 2. Its height is 1.12 m and it visually extends 2.43 m in length east west; however, the walls width is obscured. This wall is on a completely different orientation than the visible domestic architecture that suggests there may exist earlier structures that for whatever reason were built over. Further excavation must be undertaken to the east (unexcavated) and to the west to determine what this underlying walls function and purpose served and to what extent this walls original purpose served. |
