Description | Locus 4 is a limestone wall, forming the eastern side of the canal. The sides are covered in plaster. The top of the wall is not level, as the stones are not even and rise slightly above the bedding of the Hexagonal Pavement. Although the wall curves alongside the canal, its length, as measured straight from the northern border of the trench to the Hexagonal Pavement, is 10 m. |
