Condition Handle fragment preserving lateral sides and broken irregularly above and below. Surface worn.
Description A fragment of an impasto handle, whose smooth lateral sides are preserved but which is irregularly broken above and below. The lateral sides taper upwards, framing a wide, smooth surface of which one, slightly convex in profile, is decorated. The decoration consists of a series of superimposed triangles, formed by short, diagonal incisions -- four of these triangles are visible, but of these only two still preserve the apex; the pattern is rather clumsily executed.
Fabric Description Impasto. A light gray clay relatively free of impurities, fired gray to buff on surface.
