Description | This is a badly eroded sandstone doorframe with doorjamb ashlars on the northwest. From the West Stairway it is eight courses in height. Within Trench 81, however, the four upper courses of stretchers appear as if they were added on top of an original wall, which was excavated to two lower courses on its east face and three lower courses on its north face. It was plastered in antiquity, but only traces of the decorative program exist. |
