| Surface exploration methods | Transects were walked in 10 meter intervals. In areas where artifacts were found transect intervals were reduced to 5m. All cultural material was marked with pin-flags. Artifacts were then mapped and collected. FCR was mapped but not collected. FCR was collected from 4 locations in the site. There were given labels FCR Units A, B, C, and D. each FCR Unit was a circle with a four meter radius. All FCR found in these units was collected and returned to the laboratory to be washed, counted, and weighed. Site boundaries were delineated on the site map according to artifact concentrations. |
