Description The head, possibly that of a panther, is modelled in high relief in the front and stops behind the ears at the top and the nose below. The back is concave. The eyes, somewhat almond-shaped, are set below the middle of the face; the nose which narrows as it goes down, ends in a larger segment, with nostrils only faintly suggested. The ears are set facing away from each other, on either side of a rounded forehead; in the center of the forehead is a slight vertical ridge. The cheeks are full and round, and the whole shape, from the front, is almost circular. Parts are broken off on either side of the face, beyond the eyes. Note the three-dimensional quality of this head as compared with 19660227.
Fabric Description Coarse clay fired orange, with many small bites of stone.
