Description | This level of loose topsoil is approximately 0.50 m in depth. It is of virtually the same color as the level below it, but it is much less compact. There was some vegetation in this level (onions and roots), and it contained more pottery than all levels excavated. This pottery (P6001, P6002, P6004) included predominately body sherds, but also included six ring bases, a hand-full of Nabataean sherds and 11 jar/jug handles. Also in this locus were 20 tesserae, one piece of glass and a stone with a light blue glaze. |
