Description Locus 8 comprises the debris/fill (Munsell 7.5YR 4/4) in the room’s canal. This locus consists of two distinct sub-loci: a top layer of sandy, silty soil, and an underlying layer of debris with a greater quantity of inclusions such as pottery. Since one of the overlying capstones was tipped, possibly allowing overlying materials to enter, the samples collected from this locus have limited dating value.
