Description The north face of this interior Anta (Patricia) was uncovered in Trench 12, 1994, revealing a well-constructed wall surmounting a limestone base carved with the same profile as the Stylobate and Pronaos columns. Excavation this season completely uncovered the top of the Anta itself and the beginning of the wall's southward projection. The Anta measures 1.50 m square, which corresponds neatly with the 1.50 m diameter of the Stylobate and Pronaos column drums. The Anta wall, which projects to the south, is 1.20 m wide, its west face lying flush with the west face of the Anta and its east face inset 0.30 m. A great deal of fine, white mortar is still visible in this feature's construction. Also exposed this season was the limestone base's east face, which is preserved in good condition. It is completely exposed along its 2.10 m north-south length, demonstrating again a correspondence with the 2.10 m bases of the columns here in the porch of the Great Temple. The Anta's maximum preserved height is 2.86 m above the surface of Pronaos floor bedding.
