Description | This wall slightly differs from the Locus 2 wall in that its ashlars appear to be in better condition. A white mortar is evident between the ashlars and two such ashlars bear a Nabataean Masons Mark, one that is shaped like a war ribbon and another which has an O which stands for the Nabataean S. It is now clear that this wall was constructed at the same time as the Temple in its earliest stage, and that the Temple columned peristyle was inside this wall. In the courses of this wall there is one stretcher that measures 0.98 mby-0.37 m a header measuring 0.30 m-by-0.38 m, another stretcher measuring 1.26 m-by-0.38 m and an additional header measuring 0.31-by-0.37 m. |
