Definition Flood water deposit
Description A thick layer of compacted fine sand with a few small stones that is visible only in the east and south balks. The Munsell Color ranged between 7.5 YR 6/6 (Reddish Yellow) and 5/6 (Strong Brown). The stratum appears to have been formed by a flood event. The direction of the flow was from the northeast toward the southwest. The yellowish component in this sandy stratum, which is likely to be limestone soil, further suggests that the deposit originated in the flood waters from the wadi arriving from the east. No material culture was recovered.
