Description The dramatic collapse of probably two columns—one from the middle stylobate and another from the west stylobate of the East Colonnade. The fall trajectories can be approximately traced from the positions of the sandstone drums in the trench, and the damaged caused is evident: the south part of the middle stylobate and east vaulting walls and the wall behind the groin vault springer have been smashed to pieces by collapsing drums. Twelve drums were recorded as belonging to Locus 15, but about five others were recorded as belonging to Locus 2 before this separate collapse Locus was named. The columns were of course originally part of the Nabataean architecture (Trench Stage 1).
