Description | This pier appears to actually be an arch springer for a double arched doorway between Cave 2 and Cave 1. It consists of eight courses of regular and diagonally dressed sandstone Nabataean blocks wet laid and abutted to the bedrock. The back side of the pier is slapped up against the bedrock escarpment with several chinking stones in between. |
