Description SU 7026 contains material north of door jamb/installation/feature 7026_f1 between walls 7011_f1 and 7011_f2 removed during articulating of stones/plaster and tile chunks from north of corridor to south face of this feature. [ wall stub, door jamb 7026_f1] The soil is similar to that excavated in SU 7024. We excavated it with a different SU because it did not contain distinct fall line/direction but appeared to contain fallen material in a more level manner/placement.

As we articulated the stones immediately to the north of the plaster face of doorjamb/installation 7026_f1 we noticed that the stones, some of which we had removed, appear to abut the north plaster face of installation and have been secured in place with mortar [which had artificially degraded]. These stones are secondary to the wall stub and appear to be apart of a jumble of stones, tiles, mortar fragments which white mortar was poured/placed in later repair activity? [See SU 7028 for further discussion].

Soil is granular brown loose and soft with stones, some tile, and some chunks of mortar.
