Description |
SU 7013 contains stones and debris surrounding fallen wall 7008_f1. This wall sits within architectural debris (excavated to the south within SU 7012). The fallen wall appears to have fallen from the SW corner of a newly revealed room—the western wall of this room was articulated by DOA excavations and its SW corner is missing. We have likely revealed the southern wall of this room under debris SU 7012. The fallen wall (2008_f1) is made up of stones/some roughly hewn with tile and likely pise (small fragments of pottery within soil matrix) and faced with white plaster. No marks/paint or distinguishing features about the plaster mortar.
