Description | Fragment of leg of animal statue with foot and immediate section of tile; ridge pole tile fragment is smooth and preserves finished flat edge for its entire width; approximately 0.035 m from edge is foot, a smooth, rounded area of clay formed of two rounded ridges, one set behind and slightly higher than the other one; behind these ridges leg begins as rounded area curving away and up from foot - this widens into long shaft, rounded on front and back and flattened slightly on sides. In relation to curve of tile, leg is set at an angle slanting to right - presumably this was a left front foot and leg. |
