Definition | Stones around ash pit. |
Description | This was a series of regularly laid, medium-sized, sandstone rocks that bordered the ash pit (Locus 4) on the east side of the trench. As with the ash pit, it is not certain how this area relates to the rest of the trench because it lies in an area that was not excavated. Its place in the field phasing was, again, assigned because it was found so close to the surface of the trench. |
