Description | Two women face left. The woman at the right stands facing left. She wears a long garment (see 19660130) which falls to her ankles. This, a peplos, is drawn in tightly at her waist and her buttock protrudes slightly. Her right arm is bent at the elbow at right angles and crosses her body just above her waist. She holds, suspended by a cord, an object with a pointed base. Her hair, drawn back beyond her ear, falls over her shoulder. At the left, a seated figure (see 19660130) whose head, facing right, alone remains. This figure may be holding an ornamented staff. (This is a composite description of 19660128 and 19660130.) |
