Due to the goals of the excavation and conversations with the director it has been decided that locus 5 is predominately an erosional fill. Therefore we have changed excavation methods to be able to quickly excavate this locus. We will shovel dirt into buckets which will be sorted at the wheelbarrow. If there are any changes in finds or features happened upon we will revert to trowels and hand sorting. The northern half was picked and shoveled. Rocks and worn terracotta was uncovered.
