AM

Upon arrival to site it became apparent that the rain from the previous night has affected the trench's soil. It has been decided that the best course of action is to wait an hour to see if the soil dries out. Excavated in the current conditions could be detrimental to the understanding of our soil, since the first loci we need to excavate, locus 9 and 10 , have textural differences that need to be observed. Presently, trimming the Northeastern baulk wall is being performed. The trench's soil has dried out to continue excavation in the pm hours.

Due to the interesting nature of the soil packing we will proceed with caution and sieve every bucket and use trowels to excavate the different loci. We began excavating locus 9 and locus 10 . Locus 9 is still very flakey and galestra like. Locus 10 on the other hand is sandier, maybe caused by the tree that was there. After scraping the first few centimeters at the top, a flakey soil was found, however we will continue to excavate them as two loci since one is the inside of rocks and the other is outside. While cleaning and defining
