The 60 cm cut was continued in J/85 + J/84. Large amounts of tile are present in this area, as they hae benn at almost all depths. ( see p. 149 ). Little pottery was found among the tile, but pithos fragments were found.
Another cut was taken in J/83-84. Coarse orangeware pottery, similar to that foudn on previous days, was abundant. Coarseware, bucchero, and some possible ionic bowl fragments were also found. Several bronze tacks and flat bronze pieces were found here. These are similar to those found yesterday. This cut continued into J/85, where tile was encountered and little pottery was found.
Tile fall cleanup in K-M/84-83 continued and many large fragments of pan and cover tile were found. The depth of the fall is lower in L than in M. Perhaps this is caused by a drainage channel running outside and parallel to the building; the tiles may have fallen in it. On possible piece of worked bone and 1/2 a latte box of pottery came

Another 5cm cut was taken in J/83. The spoil of this level became quite black w/carbon. Little pottery came out. There appears to be a concentration of tile below the level of this cut, which is roughly 10-15 cm above the floor level (at most)
