Work was continued on the 12th layer, mostly in the NW corner of the SE section.

5 boxes of tiles were collected from this area during the day, and a minimal amount of pottery.
Civitate A13 was extened W 4meters and topsoil was cleared. A few tiles were collected before reaching a layer of small rocks. ( For further reports on this trench, see trench book)
Meanwhile, another test trench was measured out N of CA1 and labelled CA 14. It measured $.0 m EW adn 1.50 m NS. The topsoil was very hard and only ca 0.20mj was uncovered during the morning. A few tiles were mixed with this soil but nothing of importance was yet uncovered [NW]
