Daily Log

June 27, 1975

Work continued in grids K-L/26-27.  Numerous tile fragments and scattered pot sherds were found in the brown stratum.

The tile fall J/26 seems to continue into K/26 although at a slightly lower level and with a stratum of sterile yellow soil above it.

1 cassetta of tile dumped.

In grid K/27 next to the wall foundatoins, a number of fine pottery pieces were unearthed.  This pottery is similar in type and fabric to that found within the room J-P/26-27.  At this point, the pottery excavated was separated by grid, and then subdivided into four sections (A-D) as shown on the diagram on the opposite page.
