Work continued in grids A-B/4 excavating through a brown layer of soil intermixed with heavy amounts of carbon. Pottery found within this layer includes fragments of coarse ware and well-fired bucchero. Bone chunks and shell pieces were also discovered in this layer which rests directly above a stratum of gallestra. The excavation of grids A-B/Theta-2 to the depth of approx. 1/2m verified the existence of the gallestra throughout the trench at this level.
The only finds of the day include some small fragments of bronze discovered in grid A-4.
