Work began with a pick pass of the entirety of Locus 12 , below where the rocks were in Locus 11 . Soil is predominantly dark grayish-blue in color with patches of lighter olive-colored soil, especially in the eastern part of the trench. Soil is sorted directly in the trench into buckets, and a little tile, pottery, and bone, as well as some rocks, were found.
Two more pick passes were made throughout the whole locus. Soil is still mostly dark grayish-blue in color but increasingly is becoming a lighter olive-colored soil, which is sandier in texture than the extremely claylike grayish-blue soil; by the end of the third pick pass, the new, olive-colored soil was exposed completely in the eastern end of the locus. Soil was sorted directly into buckets in the trench and some tile and pottery was recovered.
A fourth pick pass was made of the locus, in order to remove the remainder of the dark grayish-blue, claylike soil of Locus 12 and expose the new, lighter, olive color soil. Soil was sorted directly into buckets in the trench and contained some tile and pottery. Once the pick pass was cleaned up, the floor of the trench was scraped in order to remove the remaining Locus 12 soil, in preparation for the closing of the locus and the opening of Locus 13 . Closing photos and elevations for Locus 12 /opening photos and elevations for Locus 13 were taken; Locus 12 was closed and Locus 13 opened.

Locus 13 was opened and a shallow pick pass was made throughout the entire locus. The soil of Locus 13 is predominantly yellow-brown in color with occasional streaks or patches of a grayer soil (similar in color to the soil of Locus 12 ), is claylike but much looser and flakeyer in texture than the soil of Locus 12 , and contains a few rocks. Soil was sorted directly into buckets in the trench and very little tile and pottery and no bone was found.
Work ended early due to rain.
