Metal Summary

There was a paucity of metal found in Agger 9 Ext.  A total of 7 amorphous fragments of bronze, 1 iron fragment, and 2 bronze fibulae (find #1 p. 109 and find #2 p. 211 ) were recovered.  All of these metal finds were found within strata containing concentrations of carbon and possibly corresponding to the orientalizing destruction phase of the site.  The fibulae were in good states of preservation, one retaining the pin (find #2, p. 211 ).
