Total station levels taken today.
Worker : Apo GuneÅŸ; Ramazan, Erol.
Focus today is wall definition and documentation, and to better explore and identify the pit (?) feature in the SE corner of the trench. The present pit seems to have been capped with a fairly dense soil (of L2055 perhaps) but the pit itself is fairly soft in comparison and contains many more artifacts than the adjacent area to the north of the small upper wall it presumably cut into. Opened L 2063 to clear remaining wall overburden and to articulate wall formation.
Finish remaining data entry for this day.

Has note | The purpose of the daily journal was to record the activities taking place in a trench each day. This included which loci were excavated, how and why loci were excavated and the ongoing impressions of the relationships among loci. It should be noted that journals record the actions, impressions and ideas of trench supervisors during the excavations. They are not, therefore, the final interpretations or syntheses of the emerging data. |
