AM
We spent the majority of the morning cleaning trenches CA 44 and CA 45 for pictures. We swept each trench and also trimmed the baulk walls oc CA 45. After pictures were completed we were able to begin a pickpass in meter 4 S 16 W. Then we broke for lunch.
PM
We continued taking the pickpass begun in the morning. We also started a pass in meter 16 W, 3 S and then we took another pass in meter 17 W, 4 S. During these passed the yellow brown soil of locus 5 began to come up. Since this soil was still mixed with the brown topsoil we will take one more pick pass over the Northern half of the trench before locus 6 will be fully established. During excavation today \xbd of a latte box of bone and
pottery was excavated from both locus 4 and locus 5
