Took final cut through Locus 1 root layer, same yellow/brown soil as previous trench. Locus 1 ended on soil change similar to previous Locus 4.
Locus 1: Terracotta: 1/8 latte box, pottery: 7 pieces

Opened Locus 2. It seems that the below datum measurements for the bottom of Locus 1 are off, since they are too low. The below soil measurements should be correct. Locus 2 soil doesn\'t seem much different than Locus 1, except that there are few roots. There may be more color change evident tomorrow.
At 20-25cm below soil, a spread of terracotta and stone was found throughout the trench. It was not as dense a tile fall as the first trench.
The highest concentration was in the NE corner near the 1st trench. Several relatively large pieces of a large gray impasto vessel (pithos?) were found enar the south wall.
