AM Pickpasses were made in locus 2. The soil is wet and claylike after yesterday?s rain. There are stil a lot of roots and no discernable stratigraphy. A fragment of a modern/medieval brick was found at 97,36s / 45,50w at an elevation of 1,66 m b.d. 29,88 m AE. There are still a lot of roots and the soil remains very dark brown with patches of clay.
PM Work continued with pickpasses in locus 2 . Stones are emerging in the southern part of the locus so in that part handpicks and trowels are used while the northern half of the locus can still be picked with the big pick.
Locus 2 finds:
Terracotta: 1 and 4/5 of a bowl
Pottery: 1/2 of a latte box
