Work began this mroning with a scrape of meters W73-74/S34-35. During this process the floor was brought down to approx. 25cm. This allowed us a more clearer picture of the lens.
The lens will now be excavated locally (Locus 2). It is present only in meters W73/S34-35 and appears to be contained by a string of rocks. Material is still only present in the lens.

Work continued with defining the string of rocks that define the lens and excavating it internally. The depth of W73/S34 is approx 28cm and the depth of W73/S34 (sic!) is approx. 30cm. The rocks present around the lens will be left in situ. Excavation of the lens will continue tomorrow after a section drawing of the lens will be drawn. Material gathered from the 25-30cm cut includes 23 pottery fragments and 15 bone fragments. A bone dowel fragment was found in this cut and labeled a find.
