Work continued in locus 4 . The northern meter was picked, soil was sorted into buckets and dumped into wheelbarrows. Another pick pass was done in the northern meters. Soil was sorted and a few fragments of terracotta was found. The stump on the northern baulk was defined and a chunk of it was removed with an ax. Large roots were defined and removed from the northwestern part of the trench. The large stump on the northern baulk was defined and removed from the trench. The northern meter was picked, the soil around the stump was a darker color with a more clay like texture, most likely due to the moisture retained by roots. There are more rocks appearing along the boarder between locus 3 and 4 . In order to expose these rocks, trowels were used to define these rocks.

The northern half of the trench continued to be defined, the rocks only seem to extend 10-15 cm north of locus 3 . Soil was sorted into buckets and dumped. The rocks being uncovered in locus 4 are small and not as tightly compacted as in locus 2 , nor as large as in locus 3. Few pieces of terracotta have been recovered, they are worn and pitted. A pick pass was done in the southern part of the trench in locus 4 . Some small rocks were found.
