Photos Taken. Continued removing backfill. Removed another bag of earth from well's aperture. With each removal of a bag, more stones from the well were dislodged. Plastic was not laid over western 2 meters (N 3-4/W 13) of trench floor, which had been staged in the 1998 season. Trench was laid out in meters N 3-5/W 11-16 and the datum point was established in the northwest corner (N 5/W 16) of the trench at 27 cm above ground level. Elevations* were also recorded throughout the trench.
A complete account of all recovered material will be recorded in today's P.M. entry
