We continued to define the rock feature in the new extension of the trench called locus 7. No more tiles have become visible that are associated with the tile fall of locus 6. A new locus was define, however, as locus 8. Locus 8 is an area in the western meter of the new extension that appears to be an old tile dump and rock pile. After locus 8 was defined, the area was leveled with that of locus 7. No pottery or bone was uncovered in locus 8.

We continued to work in locus 7, but still have not uncovered a continuam to the tile fall of locus 6. A large amount of plaster and carbon has appeared in the soil of locus 7 which is similar to that of locus 6. A large amount of pottery and bone is found throughout locus 7; most of the bone shows signs of burning, locus 7 has produced 1.5latte boxes of pottery and bone including some fine bucchero and greyware fragments and half cassetta of tile.
