Cut was taken in meters E131-2, S9-10. Soil remained consistent with descriptions of Locus 38 and maintained that designation. Work in this locus produced approximately 110 fragments of terracotta, 28 small chunks of plaster and 3/4 latte box of ceramic/bone. The locus was closed at a depth of 45-50cm b.d.
A new cut was taken in meters E131-2, 9-10. Soil was moist, dark yellowish brown with concentrations of carbon throughout. In addition ceramic and tile fragments showed evidence of burning. The locus was designated Locus 39. Work in the locus produced a small piece of amorphous bronze, a piece of cut antler (Find #2) and

a bucchero tondo (Find #3). Tile and ceramic totals will be included in the PM entry.
Continued to level and define area within E128-131, S11-12. It was noted that there was no change in soil above and between the stones and below them. Several of these stones were included within Locus 37 and removed. Work in the area produced a decorated bucchero handle (Find #1) a painted pottery fragment (Find #4) and a spindle whorl (Find #5). Tile and ceramic totals will be included in the PM entry. The northern area of this cut was levelled to approximately 90cm b.d.

Continued cut in meters E131-2, S9-10. Soil maintained designation Locus 39 and large concentrations of carbon were noted throughout. In this work 3 bronze rivets (Finds #6, 7, 11), a fragment of decorated bucchero lid (Find #9) and a fragment of ridged impasto (Find #10) were recovered. Two latte boxes of ceramic/bone were found, as well as 140-145 pieces of terracotta and 17 small chunks of plaster. The area was levelled to approximately 60cm b.d.
Continued to define and level area of Locus 37 in meters E128-131, S11-12. Several stones associated with the locus were defined and removed. The area within E130-131, S11 was levelled to approximately 90cm b.d. In this work 2 fragments of ridged impasto (Finds #8, 12) were recovered, as well
