R/54, the grid south of the large stone found Saturday, was excavated to 130 cm level. This cut went through a black burn layer and into a wet, hard yellow layer. The stone in P/54 was further defined by this cut. Roughly circular in shape, the rock is approximately the same size as the stone in central T-22. R/64 produced several fragments of orangeware, including several lip fragments.
The northern end of T-22 was cleaned further. Tiles are evident in the 140 cm floor level near the rock pack in T-22. Creamware fragments were found around AB/54.
Baulk at J-N/54 was shaved down in preparation for section drawing. One rocchetto was found in K/54.
